Who am I and why i do this
My name is Mary and I'm from Verona, WI just outside of Madison. It's a beautiful place, if you've never been you'll have to visit! When my husband and I started our family here, I never thought I would be dealing with this medical condition that I'd never heard of - hyperhidrosis. It doesn't run in my family although my husband says he remembers his grandfather always having very sweat hands. Who knows? Maybe it skipped a couple of generations and my son was just unucky enough to get stuck with it. Since his sweating started to get really bad a few years back, there wasn't a day that went by that I didnt' wish it was me. I'll admit there were nights when I cried because his teacher told me she caught other kids laughing about his sweaty hands at recess. Feeling that your child is feeling left out is hands-down the worst feeling in the world. So after years of not finding help, when we finally did, I want to start a blog or something. i wanted other parents to know that it wasn't just their child. There are solutions out there and I hope my story helps you find the things that finally gets your kid dry.
